During the whole DLSR hype in college and highschool, I was so into photography. I was so jealous of all my friends’ pictures. I even asked and bugged my dad to buy me a DSLR. Finally he did but I soon got tired of carrying it around and not to mention always having crappy pictures of me taken. Their pictures would turn out nice but every time I ask them to take my pictures it would either be out of focus or unflattering. It was very frustrating to be the photographer in the family.
I was struggling with the idea of getting into it again. Growing up, I didn’t have much pictures cause my parents weren’t the type to document things with a camera. My aunt and grandmother had more pictures of me as a child than my parents. The only pictures I had been those that my mom took to send my dad who was working overseas. I don’t want that for my kid. I want to be able to document his growth as much as possible. I want to have pictures of him framed and lined up on our walls.
There’s always our phones I know but that wouldn’t last too long. It’s still different when the pictures aren’t taken with a smart phone. The camera my dad bought me a little while back
my sister broke and I didn’t even got to use it too much. The husband bought me a new camera late last year. I’ve been finding reasons to use it as much as I could but so far I’ve only used it on occasions where Liam was looking extra cute.
I think I’m getting better at it. I’ve been watching tutorials, I think it helped a lot. I don’t really know for sure cause so far it’s all been personal cause I didn’t want to spend too much on a professional photographer for little family moments.
Most photos are on our family blog. Check it out and tell me what you think. 🙂
